RMC Kids serves babies through 6th grade on Sunday mornings, and we need caring teachers and helpers who are passionate about sharing God’s truth in fun, engaging ways. Whether you’re rocking a baby, leading a Bible story, or guiding a small group, you can make an eternal impact. We also need volunteers for special kids’ events throughout the year—there’s always a way to get involved!
Invest in the next generation! Race City Youth is looking for teachers and small group leaders with a heart for discipling middle and high school students. Opportunities include Sunday mornings and evenings for Bible study and games, as well as Monday evenings for small-group devotions. If you love helping students grow in their faith, connect with one another, and have fun, this is the place for you.
Rocky Mount Church’s SOAR Ministry is dedicated to providing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Jesus while building meaningful connections within our church community. Through Sunday School classes, one-on-one buddies, and seasonal activities, SOAR offers a safe, fun, and loving environment for our friends with special needs.
We can’t do this without the help of caring volunteers! No prior experience is needed, and training is provided to help you feel confident in serving. Adults 18+ can serve as buddies, spending time one-on-one with a student during our 11:00 A.M. Sunday class, while younger volunteers (ages 13–17) have other opportunities to serve. We ask that buddies commit to attending as consistently as possible, providing students with stability and routine that helps them thrive.
