Growth Track

Start: Find Your Place. Begin the Journey.

The Start class is a two-session introduction to Rocky Mount Church, designed to help new attendees feel connected and informed. Participants will learn about the church’s history and explore key beliefs that shape the church’s identity. The course also provides a space to get to know fellow participants and share denominational backgrounds, laying the foundation for future group life. Additional components include learning about membership commitments, opportunities to serve and grow, and a guided tour of the church campus.

Explore: Know Yourself. Live Your Calling.

The Explore class is a five-session course designed to help individuals discover how God uniquely created and equipped them for a purpose. Participants will learn about the Imago Dei—being made in God’s image—and how that shapes identity. The course guides individuals in distinguishing between spiritual gifts and natural abilities, including completing two Spiritual Gift Profiles. It also introduces various behavioral assessments such as DISC, Myers-Briggs, Enneagram, and StrengthsFinder to better understand personality and communication styles. Additional topics include exploring America’s four views of God, understanding Jesus’s message to the Church, and learning foundational principles of biblical interpretation.

Disciple: Grow in Faith. Live with Purpose.

This Disciple class is designed to help participants grow in their faith by exploring the biblical foundation of a discipleship culture and recognizing their personal responsibility in that journey. Throughout the course, individuals will assess their current discipleship practices and spiritual growth, beginning with a Discipleship Assessment in the first week. The class emphasizes the importance of accountability in discipleship and culminates in the development of a personalized plan for ongoing spiritual growth and commitment to following Jesus.

Lead: Lead with Vision. Serve with Purpose.

The Lead class is a three-session course focused on developing Christ-centered leadership rooted in biblical principles. Participants will explore the connection between followership and effective leadership, as well as the personal and spiritual cost of leading well. The course unpacks the concept of spiritual authority and helps clarify where secular leadership principles align—or conflict—with leadership in the Church. Emphasis is placed on how biblical leadership shapes the Church’s direction, culminating in a deep dive into visionary leadership: what it is, how it functions, and how it defines mission and strategy within a ministry context.
